Powered sliding door - 4.2m x 2.7m
As part of a major refurbishment to a prestigious penthouse apartment overlooking the Thames, we were commissioned to design, manufacture and install bespoke doors, windows and trim panels, comprising:
All of the doors and windows were constructed from thermally insulated steel frames, powder coated with a textured architectural finish, and fitted with multiple weather seals. All glazing was in 38mm IGU's, comprising toughened and laminated panes with argon filled cavities. Our brief was that we had to achieve an elegance of appearance and functionality suitable for a high-end residential apartment. Lines-of-sight were to be maximised, all steelwork had to be as slim and unobtrusive as possible, fixings had to be hidden; but above all - it had to work for the client.
